Vampire!England X Reader- The Rose Blood Silhouette (Chapter One)

Darkness. It envelopes this very house that I am standing on. Filled with ghosts and mythical creatures of all sorts. Whenever my parents would come in my room, I would be talking to my best friend, Angeli. She has been guiding me and keeping me company ever since birth. A couple of times my parents have seen me talking into thin air, and they thought that I've gone out of my mind. Sent me into the horrifying cushioned rooms that were seen behind every door in the Mental Hospital.

I've grown tired and ran away from home, even so Angeli still stood by my side, I believed in her. I ran and ran to find out that my parents really did banish me from our house, thinking it would be much better without a daughter. They were idiots, soon they both killed themselves without any thought. The news spread out fast. I ran through the battered and destroyed streets of New America. Clothes ragged within three days, because they were caught up in the hooks and nails in the wooden boards of the old cottages which stood still after a long period of time.

I ran, still not giving up. Until I came upon a house which was worthy of its appearance. A mansion, perhaps. I couldn't really tell from the distance I was on. I approached it, not much high-tech like the others, which was definitely odd. It had an eerie feel to go with it but hopefully I'm wrong. I knocked on the gates using the silver to brass colored knockers which seemed absolutely fancy yet it was rusted and old. The footsteps were getting closer, and closer. The rusted old gates swung open and there appeared a young lady most likely in her early twenties.

“My, my! What happened to you, young lady?” the woman asked worriedly.

“I ran away from home, ma'am.” I replied shivering, as the cold winter wind made contact with my exposed skin.

“Oh! Why don't you come in? We'll fix you up and what do you say about staying with us?” she asked while smiling.

“I am Caroline Kirkland, milady. What might your name be?” she added.

“I-I'm (Name) (Last Name).” I said as I shivered again.

'Man! The cold is really getting to me! I feel like ice!' I thought quietly.

“What a beautiful name for a beauty like your self.” she smiled sweetly while saying so.

And that was when I officially became part of the Kirkland family, yet not by blood.
